Freebie Part II As Ive mentioned before, each semester the bloggers all get a freebie entry, an entry in which all we have to do is share with you our schedules and then we can feel accomplished. I present to you, my weekly schedule for this semester! As you can see, Mondays are pretty sweet, as are Wednesdays with that gap in the middle, but the rest is pretty full. Oh, and for those of you who dont speak numbers . . . 2.004 = Dynamics and Controls II. In this class we enter the magical Laplace domain and learn about control systems, feedback loops, and attempt to drown ourselves in differential equations. This, at this point, is looking like my easiest class. 2.006 = Thermal Fluids II. The sequel to my favorite class ever, 2.005. 2.006, just like 2.005, has the potential to trounce me. I envision splattered spirits and crushed dreams coming up! 2.007 = Design and Manufacturing I. In this class everybody is issued a box of materials, taught some design basics and some machining, and has one semester to build a competitive robot for an end-of-the-semester competition. 2.00b = Toy Design. Last year I was a student in the class, this year Im filming it. Check out the videos in the Lectures section of www.ToyProductDesign.com 21L.011 = The Film Experience. Taught by Henry Jenkins, this class compares movies with their older or newer counterparts, or sometimes just two movies related in some form or fashion. It has the potential to be an amazing class, with us going to see Watchmen when it comes out, and watching upwards of 20 movies. It also looks like it could be one of my most work intensive, so well see how it goes! So thats all, the freebie entry is done, and now its time to go to class. Adios!

The author also goes on to tell of how once the children are old enough to understand, between 8 and 12, they are told of what is happening and why. In the story it says, â€Å"Some of them understand why, and some do not, but they all understand that their happiness, the beauty of their city, the tenderness of their friendships, the health of their children, the wisdom of their scholars, the skill of their makers, even the abundance of their harvest and the kindly weathers of their skies, depend wholly on this childs abominable misery.† This quote means that the child must live in retched conditions for the rest of the people to live happy lives; that if the child wasn’t living in misery that they wouldn’t be able to understand and appreciate the happiness in their lives. â€Å"The Lottery† also depicts a wonderful and pleasing New England village. The day is depicted to be bright, with fragrant flowers and green lawns. The children are fidgety and boisterous do to the ending of school for the summer. The story talks about the children and what they’re doing while they wait for the adults to gather, â€Å"Bobby Martin had already stuffed his pockets full of stones, and the other boys soon followed his example, selecting the smoothest and roundest stones,† the act of gathering stones seems like

Fantastical Ideas and Gothic Tendencies in Jane Eyre The novel, Jane Eyre, is infused with fantastical ideas and gothic tendencies. The novel is an example of Bildungsroman heroine with the title character Jane maturing from childhood. We see her spiritual, psychological and social development. Through this development Bronte manages to join both fantastic elements with a more realistic structure by weaving in references to fairy tales, dreams, mythic imagery and plot twists. Fantasy is used by Bronte to inform the reader of any emotional subtexts in the novel. Janes dreams are a good indication of her feelings and provide the reader with a window into her emotions.
